Ultem® is an engineered high-performance thermoplastic material belonging to the amorphous thermoplastic polyetherimide (PEI) family of resins. It is known for its exceptional thermal, mechanical, and chemical properties, which make it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Given the above properties, at HiTech we often find the requirement for Ultem in industries such as aerospace,  electronics, medical, and other industries requiring high-performance applications.

Ultem offers excellent heat resistance, maintaining its mechanical properties at high temperatures (up to approximately 180°C or 356°F). It has a high strength-to-weight ratio, good dimensional stability, and is resistant to creep, making it ideal for applications that require both strength and heat resistance.

Moreover, Ultem has excellent electrical insulating properties, good flame resistance, and is resistant to chemicals, including many acids and bases.
