At the rear of the vehicle, the Quattroporte adopts the new “boomerang” taillamps across the lineup. The boomerang design was inspired by many historic Maserati models. To help emphasize the boomerang shape, the taillight clusters have been produced using state of the art 3K injection molding technology, thanks to a three-color lens design featuring black around the edge, red in the middle, and clear in the bottom section. The new boomerang taillamps will be produced in two variants. A darker theme for the darker “Black Pack” trims and lighter for the more refined GranLusso models.

The front grille design has been updated making it even more elegant and more prominent than the outgoing 2020 model. The new front grille is characterized by a distinctive feature, the Maserati tuning fork. Depending on the trim, the grille gets distinctive looks for each. On GranLusso models, the grille is finished in classy chrome to show off its luxurious heritage. For those looking for more of a “sporty” look, GranSport models will feature a Piano Black finish.

About Green Plastic The "I'm GreenT" Green Polyethylene is made from ethylene obtained from sugarcane ethanol. Its key differentiator is its contribution to the reduction of the greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere, as it captures carbon dioxide during its production process. It also has the same characteristics of traditional polyethylene, that is, it does not require machinery adaptations and is 100% recyclable. Braskem's Green Plastic plant has a production capacity of 200,000 metric tons per year.

There has also been a subtle but very sophisticated change to the instrument cluster, which now includes a large rev counter and speedometer (still analog but with updated graphics) on either side of a 7-inch thin-film-transistor (TFT) display. Maserati has eliminated most of the plastic from the display from the previous version and has replaced it with an anti-dazzle flat glass cover. The changes give the instrument cluster a more high-tech look and generate a richer impression for the driver. The resolution and graphics of the TFT screen have also been updated to match those of the infotainment screen.

Maserati has also added “Active Driving Assist” to the Quattroporte’s Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) for the 2021 model year. Active Driving Assist is an evolution of Highway Assist which was introduced in 2018. Utilizing a “hands-on” function with the driver being required to stay in control of the car at all times, the system employs a radar unit and a forward-looking camera and works with the Electronic Power Steering (EPS) to control the direction of the car. The multi-function camera detects horizontal road markings and calculates the distance and speed of the preceding vehicle.

Braskem, the largest producer of thermoplastic resins in the Americas, will present a new application for Green Polyethylene during Feiplastic - the International Plastics Show. The compound of renewable origin will be used soon in the processing process in rotary molding.   By identifying a market demand for a more sustainable solution in rotary-molded products, the petrochemical company worked on the development of a resin that would allow, based on rotary molding, the production of parts for general-purpose applications, ranging from toys and furniture to tools for the agricultural industry. Soon, these products may contain more than 50% of Green Plastic in their composition. This training, which can be signaled to the final consumer with the I'm GreenT seal, will ensure greater assistance in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

In February 2017, with an investment of R$1.7 million, Braskem opened at the Technology and Innovation Center of Triunfo, RS a complete rotary molding laboratory including a Rotoline machine of commercial dimensions. "The added value will enable us to develop new solutions for the market, with an emphasis on greater diversification of applications and to be ahead in innovation in this segment," said Fabiano Zanatta, leader of the Company's rotary molding segment.

Inside, the changes are focused on the infotainment screen and instrument cluster. The infotainment screen has been enlarged from 8.4-inches to the new 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 setup featuring a frameless and more contemporary look, with almost all of the bezel surround removed. The new high-resolution display carries a new graphic interface that mixes black with a golden hue to enhance its elegance and add a distinctive touch to the Maserati models.

The system is intended for use on any kind of well-maintained road at speeds up to 90 mph (145 km/h) with the Adaptive Cruise Control system activated. It reduces driver fatigue and consequently enhances active safety by allowing the car to keep itself centered in its lane and to adapt its pre-selected speed in full autonomy. It replaces the Highway Assist mode, which only was usable on highways.

The Quattroporte GranSport features center and side air intakes with a dedicated design, which improves the cooling function while showcasing an aggressive front area. The bumper’s lower fascia is linked to the grille with aerodynamic-inspired splits. The back is characterized by a striking composition of the central panel and the two cutouts at the outside edges that focus attention on the exhausts. A Piano Black spoiler completes the rearview.
