Eissmann Group Automotive operates 12 sites across three continents, employs a staff of 5,000 people, and last reported a total turnover of €470 million. In recent years, Eissmann extended its expertise in the field of laminated leather for high-quality interior automotive components. As a system supplier for mobile living spaces, Eissmann works with numerous automotive manufacturers and suppliers.

Winther Mould brings 56 years of experience in design for manufacturing (DFM), mold design and manufacturing, and testing and validation to the MGS portfolio. In partnering with Winther Mould, MGS said it will add complex, premium-quality tooling and moldmaking capacity and expertise to its international network of tooling, automation, and manufacturing capabilities. MGS currently operates from 12 locations in the United States, Mexico, Ireland, Sweden, Germany and Denmark.

It’s the second acquisition of a Danish company by MGS this year. In June, it brought Technolution under its wing, a consultancy that provides R&D, regulatory compliance, quality, and project management assistance to companies in the pharma and medtech sectors.

Minda KTSN was the German subsidiary of India’s auto parts maker Minda Corp. and had built a reputation for injection molding gloveboxes, seat-back panels, cup holders, and other plastic components for the automotive industry at plants in Pirna, Mexico, and Poland. It filed for bankruptcy protection in Germany in June 2020, after the parent company chose to stop investing capital, reported The Hindu newspaper at the time.

Eissmann Automotive KTSN GmbH announced today that it is now wholly part of the Eissmann Group and that the operational merger of Minda KTSN Plastic Solutions GmbH & Co. KG has been completed. The Minda subsidiary in Poland will be renamed Eissmann Automotive Polska Sp.zo.o. Robert Kozielski will head management of the Eissmann plant in Pirna, Germany, southeast of Dresden, and Jacek Stefański will continue as manager in Poland.
