The company says the acquisition of Showpla Plastics displays its ambition to become one of the UK’s leading plastics moulding companies, expanding its capacity to 1600 tonnes and providing customers with one of the largest ranges of machines and processes available.

This acquisition also complements Counterplas’ client portfolio, adding white goods, packaging, electronics and consumer products to its portfolio.

It contains a digest of global news, events, and statistics as well as more detailed technical articles, company and country profiles, conference reports and regular regional economic briefings.

The reason for the growth in exports, the company called the increased demand for building materials, industrial parts and products of the transport sector in connection with the recovery of the global economy from the effects of COVID-19.

AKFA is constantly working to improve customer service; it took comprehensive measures to reduce the delivery time of products and improve the quality of logistics and the quality of products. In addition to expanding the geography of exports, the company will focus on producing high-value-added products. AKFA launched the production of complex extrusion profiles and parts, which enabled the company to manufacture products for the transport sector.

In 2022, the company signed contracts to supply products to the USA, Germany, Italy, France, Finland, Poland, Canada, the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic and the CIS countries. The company has already set up supplies of its products to such brands as Citroen, Fiat, and Gardens.

The group will now operate 39 machines ranging from 22 tonnes to 1600 tonnes, including twin shot for overmoulding and gas injection and covering shot weights up to 12 kg.

Today, AKFA exports its products to 22 countries of the world and is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters in Central Asia and the CIS countries in aluminium extrusion and injection moulding. AKFA's main exported products are aluminium and PVC profiles, and AKFA also exports window and door accessories and heating radiators.
